Discharge / Return Lines Raw water entering a vessel for cooling purposes must also exit the vessel. A pipe or hose connects a discharge or return port on a water-dependent system to a thru-hull that is typically located above the water line. If these lines become obstructed, disconnect the return port hose on the system, and insert a sealing stopper into the open end of the hose. Water flows through the hose and out of the thru-hull, clearing the obstruction. Previous - Next Example |
